The two South Korean stars will extend their contracts with JD Gaming after a successful year in the LPL. Together with teammates Zhang “Zoom” Xing-Ran, Zeng “Yagao” Qi, and Zuo “LvMao” Ming-Hao, they are one of the favorites to win Worlds 2020 and are predicted to make a deep run.

It’s still not official how long their new contract will be, but they will at least stay for one more year. Their three Chinese teammates are on contract until November 2022.
Kanavi and LokeN have been key members of the team since joining in December 2019. The team has gone from being middle of the pack in the LPL to one of the best teams in the world. Kanavi in particular has been on a crazy journey, which started with
his dramatic exit
from former LCK team Griffin in 2019.
JDG a favorite to win LoL Worlds 2020
JDG has been performing incredibly well in the LPL throughout the 2020 season. The team won the 2020 LPL Spring Split after a great playoffs run that included beating defending world champions FunPlus Phoenix, followed up by a close win against Top Esports in the finals.
JDG carried on its momentum in the summer split, but this time Top Esport managed to turn things around and take the win in the final. Despite the loss, JDG secured the LPL’s second seed at Worlds, where they will now look to prove themselves against international teams.
This is JDG’s first Worlds after failing to qualify through the Regional Finals in 2019. JDG has been trending upwards since forming in May 2017, taking over the LPL spot of QG Reapers.
JD Gaming will play its first game at Worlds on October 3 against DAMWON Gaming.
