Darren “Jason “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. is known for his globetrotting streams, and Africa looks like it’s next on the list.

IShowSpeed is one of the most well-traveled streamers on YouTube. He’s held massive travel streams in Japan, Australia, the Philippines, and more, interacting with fans across the globe to sometimes disastrous results. Now, the streaming phenom has confirmed that a new trip is in the works, and it will be the longest and most adventurous yet.

Here’s what know about IShowSpeed’s Africa trip after he confirmed it in a stream.

Is IShowSpeed going to Africa?

IShowSpeed confirmed a trip to Africa in a stream on November 25, 2024.

Near the start of the stream in New Zealand, a fan asked the streamer if he was still planning on a trip to Africa. Speed immediately confirmed an Africa trip, claiming that it was in the work. He then shared some details, calling it

We’re gonna probably be in Africa for like a month. A full month. Africa is so big… it’s gonna be a lot. I can’t wait for that though,” said Speed.

During the answer, Speed turns to look at someone in the front seat of the car, possibly confirming his answer with a producer who is helping plan the trip. After his brief answer, he turns the conversation back to the car ride. He could be trying to hide spoilers for the stream as the trip is still in the planning phase. Alternatively, he could have just run out of things to say about it. Either way, his answer confirmed that an Africa trip is in the cards for a future travel stream.

IShowSpeed suggested that the Africa trip would last for a month. It could eclipse his Europe tour as his longest travel stream yet. He did not confirm which countries or regions he would visit, but he would likely visit all over the continent if the stream went a full four weeks. North African countries like Egypt and Morocco are obvious picks, though southern countries would be harder to predict. Kenya, Mozambique, and South Africa could appear, and the island of Madagascar could be a popular fan request.
