Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm has returned to posting on X after taking a break from social media due to allegations of attempting to meet up with a minor.
On June 21, a cryptic post from a former Twitch employee implied that Dr Disrespect was banned for texting with a minor on Twitch Whispers. This was later confirmed by the streamer himself, who said that he had conversations with a minor that “leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate.” His lengthy post ended with him saying he’s not going anywhere and will return after some time off.
It looks like he has finally decided to comeback into the scene.
It seems like Dr Disrespect is returning to streaming after all. On X, the streamer posted an image of himself playing chess in his usually red costume with no caption. Since this is his first proper post since the allegations, it’s safe to assume he may be returning to streaming.
He previously changed his X banner to a fishing float in an ocean. It had his logo on it, but no explanation was provided. This was enough teaser to fuel rumors of his return. Now, he has finally made his first social media post where he seems to be planning his next move in a game of chess.
While his picture didn’t include a caption, Dr Disrespect had a lot to say in the comments.
Opinions within the community are divided. While some of his fans are thrilled about his comeback, a significant number are taken aback by bold comments after admitting to behaving inappropriately with a minor.
It’s still tough to say whether it would be a streaming comeback or he’s promoting some personal product or a brand, but it would be revealed soon.
Dr Disrespect hasn’t announced where he’ll stream, but his YouTube channel remains demonetized following the allegations. However, he’s still unbanned on Kick.
Dr Disrespect was suspended from YouTube’s partner program after the controversy. With him being permanently banned on Twitch, Kick seems to be the only option remaining if he ever chooses to return. It’s worth noting he previously turned down a $10 million per annum offer from Kick. Currently, Dr Disrespect doesn’t have a Kick channel, but it could be possible if he ever comes back to the streaming scene.
