Is Chris Tyson no longer part of MrBeast’s videos?
Recently, fans of popular YouTuber Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson noticed that long-time friend and content creator Chris Tyson didn’t appear in his recent videos. This had fans questioning if Tyson was removed from the squad altogether.
Tyson was recently under fire after he started undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in an attempt to appear more feminine. In response, pictures started circulating of his transformation, and other YouTubers became critical of his decision. One creator, SunnyV2, even published a video that predicted Tyson would become a “nightmare” for MrBeast, especially when it comes to publicity.
Has the backlash and drama actually become too much for MrBeast after all?
Why is Chris Tyson not in MrBeast’s videos
When all of the backlash first started against Tyson, MrBeast publicly stood up for his friend.
“Yeah, this is getting absurd,” MrBeast said on Twitter at the time. “Chris isn’t my ‘nightmare.’ He’s my f—ing friend and things are fine. All this transphobia is starting to piss me off.”
MrBeast has continued to support Tyson on social media, so why wasn’t he in MrBeast’s Japan video? Basically, MrBeast and some of his squad headed to Japan to collaborate with Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg. But it didn’t include Tyson.
In response to the speculations, Tyson said that he was not removed from MrBeast’s crew. Instead, Tyson chose to stay behind to spend time with his two-year-old son.
“I pretty much told Jimmy that, because I want to spend time with Tucker and he’s traveling a lot, that I’m going to just come and go as I please. I came to Japan and I left when I pleased. I went to Mexico and then I came back,” Tyson explained on SnapChat.
MrBeast has not made any further comments on the subject, most likely sick of the ongoing drama. Instead, MrBeast has been using Twitter to give updates on his latest video. In his latest tweet, MrBeast said that his new video will have a “brand new style.”
You can expect to see it released this Saturday.
