Looking to bhop around in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? A few simple commands can make it easy.

Love it or hate it, bunnyhopping is an important part of CSGO culture. The days where you could zoom through maps by bhopping are long gone, but it’s still fun to mess around with it on your own private server. The basic rule set severely limits bunnyhopping and makes it harder to do, but the right set of console commands can give you a fun trip back to the old days of Counter-Strike.

To use a bhop command in CSGO, you first need to create your own server. These commands will not work on official Valve servers, or even on community servers unless you have admin privileges. The easiest way is to start up a bot match or use a map from the workshop. The private queue function added in Operation Riptide will not work for this method, as it uses Valve servers.

Once you’re in the server, open up the Source command console and paste in the following block of commands.

sv_cheats 1; sv_enablebunnyhopping 1; sv_autobunnyhopping 1; sv_staminajumpcost 0; sv_staminalandcost 0; sv_staminarecoveryrate 0; sv_staminamax 0; sv_airaccelerate 2000; sv_accelerate_use_weapon_speed 0; sv_maxvelocity 3000

This block of CSGO commands enables a bunch of stuff that lets you bhop. The first enables the use of cheats, which allows all the other commands to work. The rest of the commands get rid of the normal bunnyhop restrictions and uncaps the maximum player velocity. You can now zoom through Dust 2, Mirage, Ancient, or any other map you feel like exploring at warp speed.

Once you’ve enabled all these commands in the console, bunnyhopping becomes simple. sv_autobunnyhopping 1 lets you automatically bhop as soon as you hit the ground if you hold the jump button. You might need to rebind your jump to space to make it work properly if you have it bound elsewhere.

Can you use a bhop command in ranked CSGO?

Using any kind of macro to bunnyhop, or any other movement for that matter, is explicitly against the rules of ranked CSGO. The commands listed above will not work on any official Valve server.

There are some external tools that you can use to automatically bhop in official servers, but they are considered cheats and will eventually result in a VAC ban on your account. So there’s no good reason to use an automatic bhop command tool.

If you have the necessary skills, you can actually still bunnyhop on official Valve servers. The window is tight and your momentum is still capped pretty low, but it can make all the difference in certain situations.
