If there was ever any doubt about how dedicated Pokemon fans are, you only need to take a look at PokeRogue. The Pokemon universe already has several official game offerings, but they took it a step further by releasing this fan-made game. As such, many are curious about how to play PokeRogue.
Heavily based on the roguelike genre, PokeRogue sees players go through several dungeons. The goal is to get as much loot and defeat as many enemies as possible without being killed yourself. Along the way, you can also get upgrades for your character.
To play PokeRogue, you have to visit the official
pokerogue.io
website and play it directly or download it onto your device.
If you opt for the former, you’ll have to register for a new account or log in to your existing one. Having an account means that you won’t lose your previous progress and can pick up where you left off. Once you’re logged in, you only have to tap the “play” button to get started.
PokeRogue is mainly a browser-based game so downloading it onto a device will take a bit of digging around. On GitHub and Discord, there are downloadable versions of PokeRogue floating about, though keep in mind that none has been officially endorsed by the official Pokerogue website yet. As the site itself suggests, a quick search of the term “Play PokeRogue online” will give you lots of options.
How to add friends to PokeRogue
To add friends in PokeRogue, you’ll have to navigate to their profile and select the “add friend” option.
You can find your friend’s profile either by searching their names on the members’ list or clicking on their profile name which will take you to their members’ tab. From there, you should see the button to add them. PokeRogue will also suggest people for you to add through the friends’ tab.
