Fortnite is getting a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover very soon, including a Captain Jack Sparrow skin that fans are excited to get a hold of. Here’s what we know so far about this crossover and its skins.
Pirates of the Caribbean was leaked as a Fortnite crossover months ago when a fan uncovered a since-deleted alleged year-long road map from Epic. It appeared as though the event was going to happen later on in Chapter 5 Season 3.
Now, the arrival of Pirates of the Caribbean has been confirmed. Expect Captain Jack Sparrow and other content inspired by popular films during the All Sweat Summer event.
How to get Captain Jack Sparrow skin
Captain Jack Sparrow’s base skin in Fortnite can be unlocked by upgrading the Cursed Sails pass to the premium reward Track for 1,000 V-Bucks.
Cursed skin is unlocked by earning Cursed Gold, which is a currency earned by playing quests.
Captain Jack Sparrow, the rum-hungry, eyeliner-sporting pirate played by Johnny Depp, is going to be part of the Cursed Sails Pass. This is a limited-time battle pass themed after the Pirates of the Caribbean films that includes content from the movies. This, of course, includes Jack Sparrow himself.
The pass was released early, but Epic has since removed it from the game. Still, players who purchased the battle pass upon its accidental arrival will receive the Captain Jack Sparrow skin. However, they can’t progress through the battle pass until it officially comes out on July 19.
Some players are lucky enough to have plundered Fortnite and unlock Jack Sparrow early. But everyone else will have to wait until July 19, grinding through the pass to get Jack Sparrow as an unlockable skin.
What is the Pirates of the Caribbean x Fortnite crossover?
The main part of the Pirates of the Caribbean crossover is the Cursed Sails Pass. This is a mini battle pass that’s only available for a limited time. There is a free and premium track, both with unlockable rewards as you grind through. This includes weapons and cosmetics from the movie. If you want the Jack Sparrow skin, you’ll need to get the premium version.
Other items include Level Up Tokens, Back Bling, and Emotes. If you want these and Jack Sparrow, you’ll need to give over 1,000 V-Bucks for the premium track.
