The Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn Global is approaching. The first big Pokemon Go event of the year features Latias and Latios as the Mega Raid bosses. This is your opportunity to get your hands on this duo of Legendary Pokemon.

Latias and Latios are a dual Dragon and Psychic type from the Hoenn region. The Eon Duo joined Pokemon Go in 2018, with the shiny form being released in 2019. A Shadow form made its debut in 2022 during the Battle Weekend. Latias and Latios are two of the few Legendary Pokemon with a Mega Evolution. This form appeared in Pokemon Go for the first time in 2022 during the Pokemon Air Adventures event.

Mega Latios and Mega Latias Pokemon Go

Latias and Latios are returning as the Mega Raid bosses for the Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn Global. The event is taking place on Saturday, February 25, and Sunday, February 26, from 10 am to 6 pm local time. During the event, players will have the opportunity to join as many raids as possible. Unlike Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pokemon Go doesn’t limit the amount of tier-seven Pokemon a player can catch.

How to Mega Evolve Latias and Latios?

If you already have a Latias or a Latios on your team, you can Mega Evolve it using Mega Energy. You need 300 Mega Energy the first time, and afterward, all Mega Evolutions are free.

It is important to keep in mind that you can only Mega Evolve one Pokemon at a time. The transformation will last around eight hours. Catching a Mega Raid Boss doesn’t guarantee a Pokemon in Mega form.

When you defeat the Mega Raid Boss, it will return to its regular form before you can catch it. In the storage, it will show in regular form. To Mega Evolve them and transform it into their final form, players require Mega Energy. In Latias and Latio’s case, 300 Mega Energy.

What is super effective against Latias and Latios?

Latias and Latios are dual Dragon and Psychic type. These types are vulnerable to Bug, Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, and Ice Pokemon. A team that contains a combination of the three is ideal when facing the Mega Raid.

Make sure to include at least one Mega Evolution in your party.

Pokemon like Mega Gengar, Mega Banette, Mega Houndoor, Mega Salamenc, and Mega Sceptile are great options in these raids. The Crackling Voltage event features Mega Gengar as a raid boss, so now is your chance to get your hands on this Pokemon.

Other Pokemon that can counter Latias and Latios are Dragonite, Weavile, Mamos, and Tyranitar. The best strategy in the Mega Raid Battles is to have as many players together as possible. There isn’t one definitive team that can defeat the Eon Duo. Create a team combining different types for higher efficiency.

The types you must avoid are Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Fighting, and Psychic. Latias and Latios are strong against these types.

Make sure to have plenty of Golden Razz Berries. Mega Legendary Pokemon are not easy to catch. Good luck!

All shiny Pokémon available in Pokémon GO in 2026 Zachary Roberts Getting a shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO is an absolute treat. It's not as easy to hunt certain things on that game as it is on something like Legends: Z-A or Scarlet and Violet, but you can endlessly play by walking around. The shiny odds are much higher, too. At 1/512 base odds, it's much more likely than in a mainline game, where the odds are 1/4096. If you're interested ...

Additionally, it's a real Game of the Year contender. Yet, early sales reports indicate that the two are selling very similarly. FireRed ...
