How good is The Mageseeker Steam Deck performance?
The new Riot Forge game, The Mageseeker, is out on Steam Deck, but how good is the performance?
Riot Forge is a publishing effort by League of Legends developer Riot Games to help other studios produce games in the world of League of Legends. The Mageseeker is a 2D action-adventure game that follows the story of Mageseeker-turned-revolutionary Sylas. There are a wide variety of ways to play The Mageseeker, but for those wanting to play on Nintendo’s most versatile system, how is the Steam Deck performance?
The Mageseeker Steam Deck performance
The Mageseeker is a retro-style 2D brawler with very few system requirements, so it’s almost ideal for the Steam Deck. It’s a fast-paced, modular game that matches well with the Steam Deck’s light and portable nature. You can sit down for a mission or two of Mageseeker and then move on to something else. The good news is that since it’s such a light game, it performs perfectly fine on the Steam Deck. You’re not going to get a world-changing graphical experience, but you shouldn’t be encountering any serious problems either.
The Mageseeker has been very well received by League of Legends fans, and no small part of it is its consistent performance, smooth movement, and care for the world. Mageseeker is available for PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, and Nintendo Switch. The Mageseeker is the most recently announced Riot Forge game, with two others still waiting for release. The next two Riot Forge games should be Convergence, an Ekko-focused platformer, and A Song of Nunu, an adventure game following Nunu and Willump’s quest to find Nunu’s mother.
The Mageseeker is out right now, and available for purchase through Steam or the relevant platform shop. If you’re curious about any other details about The Mageseeker, check out our article that will walk you through everything you need to know.
