The Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror DLC is arriving on April 12, 2022, with a ton of new content for fans of the horde survival shooter.
From new weapons to new player cards, levels, and more, the new expansion to the hit shooter offers several brand new elements to keep gameplay fresh. In the aptly-named Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror, players will descend beneath the earth’s surface to take the fight, or flight, to Ridden Hives below the ground.
The new Tunnels of Terror expansion for Back 4 Blood offers a brand new PvE game mode for players to engage in cooperative slaughter. In this mode, players will be taken beneath the earth’s surface into seven dungeon-style areas with new content to explore. Players will be able to take to the hives with two new Cleaner character classes thanks to new entries Sharice and Heng.
Back 4 Blood – Tunnels of Terror Trailer
Sharice is an ex-firefighter who works as tanky support for your team. Sharice buffs armor plates and has added trauma resistance while buffing your team’s health. She appropriately wields a fire ax as her melee weapon. Heng is an ex-restaurant owner who’s handy with a knife. Heng can sense nearby hive entrances, see gear through walls, and allows teammates to re-use accessories.
New DLC Tunnels of Terror will also bring three new Warped Ridden enemies and seven new ways to kill them. New weapon offerings include Damnation, an incendiary shotgun that lives up to its biblical namesake. The new weapons and new player cards should make slaying the brand new members of the Ridden roster a bit easier.
The new enemies being added include the warped Urchin, the hulking Shredder, and the misshapen Ripper. Gameplay footage shows the Ripper sending lines of spiny spikes ripping across the battlefield. Each of the new Ridden enemies look to provide a brand new challenge for experienced Back 4 Blood players and new converts alike.
