There is a viral GTA 6 trailer 2 making rounds on social media, but it has been proven to be a fake. When can we expect the release of the authentic trailer?

On July 4, a fake trailer was posted for GTA 6 on X, which quickly went viral for looking like the real thing. However, it was later debunked. So far, GTA 6 only has one trailer, which was released in December 2023. After that, Rockstar went mum regarding any and all news regarding GTA 6, besides the release window announcement earlier in May.

But the fake trailer has further agigated the fans who had been waiting for more visual proof that GTA 6 is indeed happening and is close to release.

When does GTA 6 trailer 2 come out?

The next GTA 6 trailer would likely not come out before December 2024.

Earlier, the possible release date for GTA 6 trailer 2 was speculated to be June 11, but clearly that didn’t happen. This means Rockstar is likely going to follow the same pattern, where it takes a year-long gap between the first two trailers. The second trailer for GTA 5 was also released a year after the first one.

If we go by this pattern, the most logical date for GTA 6 trailer 2 is sometime in December 2024. With the release window officially moved to fall 2025, it only makes more sense for the trailer to be dropped close to the game’s release date.

Along with the trailer, more details about the characters, microtransactions, and gameplay will be revealed. The second trailer may likely explore both characters, Lucia and Jason in depth. It may also provide a quick look at the gameplay and map, which is expected to grow with each update.

However, these are all speculations and shouldn’t be taken as gospel. One thing that’s sure is that more details about the game may emerge at the end of 2024.
