Here's how to get Shiny Stones in Pokemon BDSP

Shiny Stones were introduced in the fourth generation, so it makes sense that they’re a big deal in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

The evolution stone is used to evolve two Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. While that might not sound like much, that makes it as important as any legendary for those looking to complete their Pokedex.

The good news is that two Shiny Stones can easily be obtained from the game. The bad news is that those looking to go a step further and put together a lineup of competitive Pokemon will have to add an extra step of grinding along the way.

Here’s how to get Shiny Stones in Pokemon BDSP and what you can do with them after finding them.

How to get Shiny Stones in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Shiny Stones can be found on Route 228 and on Iron Island.

The first can be obtained on Iron Island. The item is easy to find, as it simply lies on the ground outside the elevator at the end of the cavern pathway shortly after completing the sidequest with Riley.

The other can be found on Route 228. To the northwest of the Pokemon Center in the Resort Area, there is a bridge between two plateaus that can only be crossed with a bicycle. The other Shiny Stone is lying on the ground.

Two Pokemon can be evolved with a Shiny Stone in Pokemon BDSP, being Togetic and Roselia. Togepi and Budew evolve into these Pokemon respectively through reaching a high friendship level. These two Shiny Stones on the ground are enough to help the player complete their Pokedex, but anyone looking to go further than that will need to farm them. There are two ways to do so.

The first is in the Grand Underground, where they appear as a rare item in digging spots. The other is as a random find for Pokemon with the Pickup ability. All Pokemon with the Pickup ability have the potential to find Shiny Stones, but odds increase significantly for those at level 91 or above.

If the player puts together a full lineup of Pokemon with the Pickup ability at level 91 or higher, they can farm them without too much difficulty. The best options for Pokemon with the Pickup ability are Pachirisu and Aipom.

All shiny Pokémon available in Pokémon GO in 2026 Pokemon
All shiny Pokémon available in Pokémon GO in 2026 Zachary Roberts Getting a shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO is an absolute treat. It's not as easy to hunt certain things on that game as it is on something like Legends: Z-A or Scarlet and Violet, but you can endlessly play by walking around. The shiny odds are much higher, too. At 1/512 base odds, it's much more likely than in a mainline game, where the odds are 1/4096. If you're interested ...
Recent Pokémon sales prove nostalgia is still king Pokemon
Recent Pokémon sales prove nostalgia is still king Zachary Roberts To celebrate the 30th anniversary, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen were brought to the Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2) library. This came a little over a week before Pokémon Pokopia dropped. The former is a decades-old game, and the latter is a brand-new title unlike anything in the franchise. Additionally, it's a real Game of the Year contender. Yet, early sales reports indicate that the two are selling very similarly. FireRed ...
