Pokemon games have long been giving players incentive to buy copies shortly after release. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is no different, with a mix of physical pre-order bonuses and other special rewards on tap for those willing to commit to buying the new game.

The rewards are a mix between cosmetic items, in-game items, and exclusive Pokemon. It’s by far the most robust pre-order offering available in any Pokemon game before, and the sheer number makes it worth going over ahead of the game’s release.

Here are the Pokemon Legends: Arceus pre-order bonuses, early adopter rewards, and other goodies players can get.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus pre-order bonus is a new outfit

Pokemon Legends: Arceus has a variety of pre-order bonuses that vary from retailer to retailer. They range from physical merch to in-game items.

The most notable comes from the official Pokemon Center website. Players who pre-order the game will receive a limited edition Arceus plushie. The mythical Pokemon isn’t what one would normally be considered “cute,” but there’s a definite appeal to the plushie. Unfortunately, while this is available in the United States, other regions aren’t so lucky.

The Pokemon Legends: Arceus promo Arceus V card is a pre-order bonus in Japan

Those who live in Japan or are willing to wait for an importer to ship the product can get themselves an exclusive Arceus V card for the Pokemon TCG. The card has unique artwork featuring scenery from the game, as well as the Pokemon Legends: Arceus logo.

In the United Kingdom, Amazon UK is offering a steel book case alongside a replica prototype Poke Ball.

Amazon UK is offering Pokemon Legends: Arceus pre-order bonuses

Pre-order bonuses take a big step down from there, unfortunately. Amazon is offering players the chance to get an exclusive Garchomp kimono that can be given to their trainer in the game. Gamestop will continue its tradition of offering Pokemon stationary, this time with three “art cards” with the new game.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus offering mystery gift early purchase bonuses

Players who purchase Pokemon Legends: Arceus within the first few months of its release will get a few different rewards via mystery gifts.

All players will have access to two exclusive cosmetic items. These are a Hisuian Growlithe-themed kimono and a “Baneful Fox” mask that looks similar to Hisuian Zoroark. These items can be equipped by both male and female trainers.

There will also be a special early purchase bonus that is exclusive to players who purchase a digital copy of the game. These players will be able to get 30 free Heavy Balls, which is likely to be a major boon to players in the early portion of the game.

Darkrai, Shaymin available for players who own Pokemon Sword, Shield, Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl

Mythical Pokemon Shaymin and Darkrai will be available in Pokemon Legends: Arceus for owners of other Nintendo Switch Pokemon titles, including Pokemon Sword, Shield, Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl.

It’s not just pre-order bonuses and early purchase bonuses that are on tap in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Much like the promotions that offered Mew and Jirachi in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Shaymin and Darkrai will be offered up to players who have save data for multiple Pokemon titles.

If the player has save data for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, they will have access to a special post-game mission that allows them to catch Darkrai. Players will also receive a “Modern Team Galactic” item set that includes a trainer outfit that looks similar to the one worn by Cyrus in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

If they have save data for Pokemon Sword or Shield, they’ll be able to get Shaymin alongside a white, pink, and green kimono inspired by Shaymin. Finally, players will be able to obtain Pikachu and Eevee masks if they have save data for Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee. Regardless of which game they have, they’ll be able to claim both masks.
