Finally, Valorant agent 22 Gekko is here. The green-haired initiator is everything Valorant needs right now! Let’s look at his abilities.

Story-wise, Valorant’s current roster is too grim. With his green hair and chirpy personality, Gekko brings tons of laughs and cute monsters. After an unfortunate leak earlier, Riot has now officially ripped away the veil on agent 22, revealing a young boy in green hair and skinny jeans.

After weeks of anticipation, Gekko is finally here. He is from Spain, shares a sisterly relationship with Reyna, and appears close friends with Neon. All of this will add to Valorant lore. So far, players are just happy they have another agent with clever voice lines and a sense of humor.

Valorant agent 22 Gekko abilities

Here are all the abilities of Valorant agent 22 Gekko:

Dizzy (E)

Gekko equips Dizzy and fires it to soar through the air. Dizzy charges and then unleashes plasma blasts at enemies in line of sight. Enemies hit by her plasma are blinded.

When Dizzy expires, she reverts into a dormant globule which can be picked up by Gekko for another charge after a 10-second cooldown.

Wingman (Q)

Gekko equips Wingman and fires it, seeking enemies. Wingman unleashes a concussive blast toward the first enemy he sees.

Gekko can use alternate fire to send Wingman out to either defuse the Spike or plant the Spike. Gekko must have the Spike in his inventory to use Wingman as the planter. Gekko can retrieve Wingman after a short cooldown.

Mosh Pit (C)

Gekko equips Mosh and can throw the projectile underhand with alternate fire or throw normally using regular fire. Mosh duplicates upon landing and explodes after a short delay across a wide area.

Thrash (X)

Gekko equips Thrash and steers her toward the enemies. Activate to lunge and explode, which detains enemies. After Thrash expires, she can be picked up to gain another charge after a short cooldown to be used once more.

So far, only Sova and Fade are the viable intel-gatherers. Chronologically, agent 22 should have been a sentinel, but adding an initiator is the correct decision. Valorant protocol’s support roster still feels incomplete despite the fresh addition of Fade. Gekko’s Raze-like toolkit will likely fill that hole effectively.

Valorant agent 22 Gekko release date

Agent 22 release date is still a month away. Gekko will enter the squad in Episode 6, Act 3, expected to kick off sometime in late April. Along with Gekko, players will be able to cop a new skin bundle, battle pass, and more goodies!
