#RipFortnite trends on Twitter after Epic goes after Clix

The Fortnite community has become obsessed with betting on matches between two talented pros in a custom lobby. This has become especially important for Fortnite streamers to rake in some dough and create content now that there are a lot fewer official events. But Epic has started to crack down on this popular pastime when it involves underaged players.

Cody “Clix” Conrad has been involved in a lot of wagered games. Clix is also just 16 years old. The popular Fortnite pro tweeted earlier this week that Epic messaged him directly to stop wagers or he would be banned from the game.

“I recommend others to stop as well. Tweeting this so people are aware,” Clix tweeted.

Won’t be playing or having anything to do with wagers anymore, just got personally messaged by epic and was told to stop or will result in a ban. Recommend others to stop as well, tweeting this so people are aware.

Clix followed up this tweet by noting that he won’t be bothering with Fortnite at all for the time being due to stream snipers on top of the note from Epic. A lot of Fortnite fans were frustrated with Epic’s message to Clix and #RipFortnite started to trend on Twitter.

Epic hasn’t made any statements since the hashtag started spreading across social media but this isn’t anything new for their popular battle royale. Fortnite’s official terms of service do not allow gambling of any kind outside of sanctioned tournaments. The legal gambling age is also 18, which is another strike against Clix.

But a lot of Fortnite players, including many of the pros, are minors. So the wager regulations will most likely become a problem again. Fans are also frustrated because Epic has also cracked down on scrims recently, attempting to regulate matches where pros and fans play against each other for subscriptions. All of this combined has the Fortnite community worried about the game, hence the rumors that Fortnite is “dying” across social media.

How old is Clix?

Clix is 16 years old. His birthday is January 5, 2005.

Is Clix rich?

Despite his young age, Clix is very wealthy. His net worth is estimated to be $2.2 million. That’s mostly thanks to his successful career as a streamer and YouTuber. It’s said that he earns easily over $100,000 a month thanks to all of his various income streams, but this can’t be verified.

What PC does Clix use?

According to GamerStats, Clix uses the Intel Core i9-9900K CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphic card, and Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO motherboard with 64 GB ram sticks of HYPERX FURY.
