Harry Potter: Magic Awakened tier list for spells, and more
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is the new collectible card game by Portkey Games, developed for mobile devices. Just days after its release, players have composed a tier list.
One of the first challenges card game players face is building the perfect deck. It will change from player to player, depending on what type of style they prefer. Every deck is different, but what doesn’t change is how strong certain cards are.
The tier list in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened can be divided into Spells, Companions, and Echoes, the three elements that are used to build decks.
Best Spells in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened
Spells are, arguably, the most important type of card you can earn in the game. You will learn spells from interacting with characters or winning duels.
The best spells in the game are, to no one surprise, some of the strongest in the Harry Potter universe.
- Sectumsempra
- Thunderstorm
- Avada Kedavra
- Phoenix
- Orb of Water
Best Companions in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened
Companions can be called upon and will offer aid during any duel. The list of available Companions includes new characters and others that are well-known in the Harry Potter universe.
The best Companions are:
- Hermione Granger
- Ron Weasley
- Rubeus Hagrid
- Draco Malfoy
Best Echoes in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened
Echoes are bonus characters that enhance specific stats in the deck. The Echoes don’t synergize the same and when building a deck, they should be the center.
The best Echoes in the game are:
- Bellatrix Lestrange – Grants you corruption points each time you deal damage, summoning a Death Eater when the corruption bar fills. These use Crucio against opponents, and you can summon up to three Death Eaters at once.
- Severus Snape – Increases the damage of your auto-attacks, and every other auto-attack becomes Sectusempra, which bounces to an additional foe.
- Hermione Granger – Halves the mana cost of your most expensive spell after using several spells.
- Newt Scamander – Provides you with a Thunderbird, Erumpent, or Tebo Charge card that only costs one mana.
