Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is finally available worldwide. This mobile game allows Harry Potter fans to explore the Wizarding World in a new way.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a collectible card role-playing video game developed and published by Warner Bros. in collaboration with NetEase. This is the same Chinese studio behind Marvel Duel, Dead by Daylight Mobile, Diablo Immortal, and many more.
In the game, players take the role of a new student at Hogwarts, they must customize their character and buy their school supplies at Diagon Alley. The story takes place years after the second wizarding war, and it starts with an acceptance letter to Hogwarts.
Players go through the sorting ceremony and get assigned to one Hogwarts house. As a student, players are encouraged by Professor Filius Flitwick to join the Dueling Club.
Throughout the game, players will encounter familiar characters and some new faces. From these characters, players can learn new spells or get challenged to duels.
Players will get flashbacks to the events of Harry Potter, like the encounter with the Troll in the dungeons.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a card game. Every time players enter a duel, they will have limited amounts of energy they can use to play their cards. Different cards require different amounts of energy.
The spells can be defensive or offensive. The way to obtain new spells is through interaction with characters and duels. From the collection of spells, players can build their decks and level up the cards available.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened was originally released in 2021, exclusively in China. Within two months of its release, the game generated over $228 million in revenue. By October 2022, the game generated a total of $358 million, becoming the second-highest-grossing Harry Potter mobile game.
