Giants Gaming has signed a full European roster ahead of the Valorant Champions Tour, starting in less than a month’s time. The team consists of four players from the Prodigy-represented squad Orgless as well as former FunPlus Phoenix player Johan “Meddo” Renbjörk Lundborg.

The players from Orgless that are joining include Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer, Daniil “pipsoN” Mesheryakov, Aaro “hoody” Peltokangas, and Ričardas “Boo” Lukaševičius. The only player not joining from the current iteration of the team is Niki “delezyh” Sutinen, who left the team shortly after its First Strike tournament run.

Who is Orgless in Valorant?

Orgless is an unsigned European Valorant squad that has been considered one of the best teams in the region. It had seen many different players filter through its ranks in the early part of the game’s competitive life cycle. High-profile players such as G2’s Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi, Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas Colocho, and even Team Liquid’s Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom made appearances on the roster before joining their current teams. Orgless would regularly pick up two or three promising players before having them leave for greener pastures, leaving only the core players behind.

The team also competed under the name Prodigy, the talent agency that represents the players, during select tournaments. The team notably played under that banner in the European First Strike tournament where they were knocked out in the quarterfinals by G2.

The team was consistently near the top of its region’s rankings despite a lack of traditional organizational structure.

Giants Gaming and Meddo come together

Giants Gaming is a Spanish esports organization that normally pick up players with Spanish ties. Its previous roster iteration in Valorant was a completely Spanish lineup that was dropped in early January.

Meddo was formerly a part of the stacked FunPlus Phoenix lineup with Kyrylo “ANGE1” Karasov and Tobias “ShadoW” Flodström. He also participated in the First Strike event with the team, bowing out in the semifinals with a loss to SUMN FC. He was then let go from the roster in a move that surprised both fans and the player himself.

I was surprised when i got the news yesterday, but i sincerely wish the boys best of luck in the future.
I’ve had a blast playing with them and got a lot of experience as a player. I also want to thank @FPX_Esports for giving me the chance to play fulltime! https://t.co/7Ctvhjl8QJ

The roster debuted under its new banner in the LVP Rising Series, a Spanish tournament circuit. The team failed to make it out of the group stage at the event. Following that defeat, the only other event the organization has committed to so far is the first EU Challengers event in early February.
