Genshin Impact leak suggest major map expansion for version 5.2
Rumors are swirling in the Genshin Impact community regarding a significant map expansion in the upcoming Version 5.2. While the focus of Version 5.1 is set on the Archon Quest, recent leaks indicate that Version 5.2 will introduce a sprawling new area, including several fascinating regions. Lastly, this expansion is expected to unlock new gameplay features and introduce fresh characters, along with challenging exploration zones.
New areas teased for version 5.2
According to the leaks, Version 5.2 of Genshin Impact will expand the Natlan region to include three notable areas. At this point, the areas mentioned in the leaks are Warped Branch Cliff, Mirror Wall Mountain, and Ochkanatlan. These locations are expected to offer a mix of dangerous terrain and hidden ruins, providing players with rich exploration opportunities. Each area will likely reflect its association with the new tribes. The new tribes, the Flowerfeather Clan and the Masters of the Night Wind, will debut in this version as well. The connection between these new areas and the lore surrounding Natlan adds another layer of excitement for fans eagerly awaiting this expansion.
New characters and exploration abilities
Genshin Impact version 5.2 will also see the addition of two new characters: Ororon and Chasca. Firstly, Ororon, a 4-star Electro Support, is said to offer buffs to the Electro-Charged reaction. On the other hand, Chasca, a 5-star Anemo Hypercarry, will be able to deal elemental damage based on team composition. Furthermore, both characters are rumored to have exploration abilities tied to their respective tribes, allowing players to access the new areas with ease.
Ochkanatlan: A Mysterious New Zone
Ochkanatlan is one of the major locations being introduced in Version 5.2. Predating modern Natlan, it is described as a fallen civilization. The area is expected to play a key role in upcoming World Quests and could offer significant lore-based content. Its jagged, treacherous terrain will likely challenge players to use the exploration abilities of the new characters and their Saurians to navigate the ruins. This region promises to be a standout location, rich in history and secrets waiting to be uncovered.
With Version 5.2 anticipated to release in late November, players have time to prepare for the new content and save up Primogems for future pulls.
