After an indefinite delay, when can Genshin Impact fans exect update 2.7? Not any time soon.

Hoyoverse has announced an indefinite delay for Genshin Impact 2.7. The announcement follows increased restrictions in Shanghai, which is where many of the company’s employees live. There was no estimated date for the release of the new update.

Hoyoverse will continue to update fans as a timeline becomes more clear. Until then, there are a few guesses for the Genshin Impact update 2.7 release date.

On April 29, Hoyoverse announced through social media that Genshin Impact 2.7 will be delayed for a period of time. The announcement did not state the exact reason behind the delay. Current local restrictions in Shanghai, where Genshin Impact’s development is based, could be the reason for it. It’s possible that the situation has slowed the development of the new patch.

For now, fans will have to stick with the 2.6 version of the game. Current banner Kamisato Ayaka could be extended to make up the empty space, but Hoyoverse has not confirmed any plans. At the moment, players can expect delays for other timed features such as battle passes, events, and new character banners. Players who have yet to fully explore The Chasm can enjoy the newest area during the break.

When will Genshin Impact 2.7 come out after delay?

It’s impossible to guess when Genshin Impact 2.7 will come out. The situation in some Chinese cities continues to be at issue, and there’s much uncertainty around when it could improve.

Ideally, Genshin Impact 2.7’s release date will be in late May or June. Circumstances in China could change both positively and negatively, which would have an impact on development speed. While fans have every right to look forward to new content, the health of Hoyoverse artists, writers, programmers, directors, and more matters more than any update.
