The God of War announcement is almost assuredly the release of Ragnarok on PC. The second game in the franchise reboot launched to critical acclaim and commercial success. The PC version of its predecessor launched just under four years after its PS4-exclusive launch. It quickly became a
top seller on PC. Ragnarok has been out for over two years, which would make it an expedited release. However, considering
the original’s success, it makes sense to speed up the transition to Windows.
Other notable leaked announcements at the 2024 Game Awards include a DLC reveal for Rise of the Ronin. Koei Tecmo’s PS5-exclusive action title met solid reviews from fans and critics, so a DLC seems natural. The leaker, Laksus, is a very new name in the leaking scene with few claims to fame. He has very few followers and little track record. However, many of the claims in the list seem reasonable.
