G2 reportedly set to bench jks on CS2 roster
European organization G2 Esports is set to make a major change to the Counter-Strike 2 roster with Australian player Justin “jks” Savage set to be benched, according to a joint report by HLTV and 1ptv.
The move comes just days after star player Nikola “NiKo” Kovač was reportedly set to be leaving the roster to join Saudi Team Falcons, which recently signed former Astralis coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen. But this move for NiKo failed to materialise and NiKo recently announced he’s staying with G2.

Jks is set to be replaced with former G2 player Nemanja “nexa” Isaković on the shortlist, who previously had a three-year spell with the European team before he joined OG Esports. The reason for jks’ removal from the team is yet to be revealed.
G2 makes a change following a hectic off-season
G2, known as one of the best teams in CS2, has reportedly been approached by multiple teams for two of their star players including the likes of NiKo and 18-year old Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov. But it seems the team will be moving forward with the pair of them staying on the roster.
Nexa was previously an in-game leader for the G2 team back in 2019 till his transfer to OG. But it’s unclear if he’ll take up the mantle once more since Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen remains on the team at the time of publication.
G2 finished in the top four at IEM Sydney following a defeat to Complexity in the semi-final. The North American team would later fall to FaZe Clan in the grand final.
G2 is set to compete in the BLAST Premier World Finals, which will be held in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The event will take place from Dec. 13 to Dec. 17 and will feature a $1,000,000 prize pool.
G2 qualified for the tournament from its BLAST ranking and the event will feature other top teams such as MOUZ, FaZe, Natus Vincere, Heroic, ENCE, and Vitality.
