G2 Arctic vs. SLO REJECTS: Iberian Cup 2020 betting analysis
The Iberian Cup 2020 is entering the semifinals and the first one is between G2 Arctic and big surprise SLO REJECTS.
Both teams impressed during the quarterfinals and won convincingly against their respective opponents. Now it’s time for the semifinal, where the winner will advance as the first team to the final in the battle for the trophy and €8,000.
G2 Arctic has only played one time at the tournament, due to the fact that the team qualified directly to the quarterfinals as one of the first seeds. The team debuted against Team Queso and managed to win convincingly 3-1.
SLO REJECTS has had a long journey through the tournament. Starting in group D, they managed to make it to the top after beating Team Queso and UCAM Esports Club. The upsets didn’t end after the group stage, as SLO REJECTS continued to surprise in the quarterfinals. The mix team took down EGN Esports in a quick 3-0 series.
The key matchup will likely be in the jungle, where G2 Arctic jungler Mark “Markoon” Woensel has already lived up to expectations. The individually gifted jungler managed to impress against Team Queso in the quarterfinals, dominating on picks such as Nidalee, Graves, and Kindred.
SLO REJECTS’ jungler will have to put up a good performance to keep up with the young G2 jungler.
Dušan “LOTUS” Nedeljković has not been as dominant individually but instead been able to help out his lanes. He helped his mid laner Ernesto “Siler” Castañeda a lot in their quarterfinals against EGN, especially in the third game where Siler dominated on Kassadin. The Spanish mid laner ended the game with a shocking 19/1/1 scoreline and is without a doubt a force to be reckoned with.
On paper, G2 Arctic is the best team and is likely to take the win. With that said, SLO REJECTS is riding on a wave of confidence and only sees the sky’s the limit. Iberian Cup is the perfect tournament to make big upsets and SLO REJECTS will do everything in their power to do so.
The series is likely to be very bloody and intense and whoever comes out on top will give the winner of Vodafone Giants and MAD Lions Madrid a run for their money in the final.
G2 Arctic heavily favored to reach the final over SLO REJECTS
Even though SLO REJECTS has impressed so far in the tournament, G2 Arctic is the heavy favorite to take the first spot in the final.
A win for G2 Arctic gives odds 1.24, while believing in a win for SLO REJECTS will give a whopping odds 3.65. Since SLO REJECTS has already made some impressive upsets in the tournament,
it might be worth it to go with the underdog
and hope for a miracle run.
The match between G2 Arctic and SLO REJECT kicks off on Friday, November 13.
