Fortnite Coachella festival

Epic is making Coachella accessible for all with its latest collaboration, bringing Bad Bunny, Burna Boy, new skins, and emotes.

Epic has a history of pulling off insane crossovers. From Marvel to Ariana Grande, the Fortnite developer has done it all. Epic is eyeing Coachella this time as it announces an in-game virtual music festival that lets players buy reactive items and skins.

Fortnite’s Coachella festival begins on April 14 and runs until April 28. During this time, players can hop into special Coachella Island and dance to some tunes in their new outfits.

“The future of in-game music and art experiences should not mimic the real world, but reimagine the magic and make it more accessible via a new medium,” said Sam Schoonover, innovation lead for Coachella.

Fortnite X Coachella

Inspired by the real-life Coachella festival, Fortnite’s music festival is just as colorful and entertaining. It features mini-games, an art park, music by Porter Robinson, and quests to earn in-game rewards. Players can also dance to Burna Boy and Bad Bunny’s music in reactive outfits.

Players can purchase the two Coachella-themed skins from the item shop from April 14. Visually, Sunset Alto skin is a simple one, but it has a bonus Aurora Visualizer alt Style that reacts to music. Its matching Sunset Swirl Back Bling and Crystalline Cactus Pickaxe are also reactive to music.

The second skin Desert Dawn Lyric is comparatively upbeat and vivid. An orange tank top and beach hat complete this outfit which also has a reactive Aurora Visualizer alt Style too. The skin also has Airflow Vibes Back Bling and Electropalm Staff Pickaxe.

Both of these attractive skins are must-haves to attend the music concert in the game. Besides skins, the Fortnite X Coachella collaboration also brings two new dance emotes and time-limited quests extending up to two weeks of the festival.
