Fnatic vs. SK Gaming: 2021 LEC Spring Split betting analysis
Fnatic vs. SK Gaming: 2021 LEC Spring Split betting analysis
Fnatic is looking to keep its winning streak going when they face off against SK Gaming in the fourth week of the 2021 LEC Spring Split.
A battle between an experienced Fnatic squad and the youngsters from SK is about to unfold in the fourth week of the LEC. The two teams are currently very close in the middle of the standings and a win could mean a lot for the upcoming playoffs race. Fnatic is the big favorite, but a slow start to the season gives SK fans some hope that the young squad can make an upset happen.
Fnatic started out with two losses and only one victory, but has since then picked up the pace and started to make things work. Fnatic is rightfully one of the favorites to challenge G2 Esports for the LEC crown, but right now they are only sitting at a shared fourth place at a 4-3 record. Luckily for Fnatic, it won both games last week, one of them being against G2.
This means that Fnatic will enter this week with a lot of confidence, which could end up hurting SK. Even though Fnatic has lost its star bot laner Martin “Rekkles” Larsson, his replacement Elias “Upset” Lipp is already doing well. Together with Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek in the jungle, Fnatic is looking like a scary team in the early game with a big hunger to fight.
SK also has a big hunger to fight, mainly because of its rookies that have joined the squad for 2021. SK might be a young and inexperienced team, but the players are already showing promising signs. With a 3-4 record, SK should be satisfied so far but taking down Fnatic will be the icing on the cake. SK has already beaten big teams like MAD Lions and Misfits Gaming, but Fnatic seems to be a skill level above.
So far, the bot lane of former TSM support Erik “Treatz” Wessén and Jean “Jezu” Massol is showing promising signs and a lot of potential. Treatz is already taking the leader role on the team, showing why he was prioritized in the offseason. With time, this SK lineup could be the next powerhouse in the LEC. The question is if it’s too early for the squad to take down a giant like Fnatic.

SK Gaming roster:

SK Gaming expected to have a hard time against Fnatic in LEC
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Fnatic is the big favorite in this matchup. After beating G2 last week, Fnatic is riding on a big wave of momentum and is climbing towards the top of the standings.
The opposite can be said about SK, who lost its most recent game to Excel Esports. SK still has a lot of young talent on the team that could potentially pop off if Fnatic isn’t too careful, but on paper, Fnatic should have this one in the bag.
This is why a win for Fnatic only gives odds 1.36, while a win for SK gives an odds of 2.87.
Fnatic and SK Gaming will face off against each other on February 12.
