LEC teams are continuing to evolve during the offseason.

Rumors are now pointing to a major shift, with Fnatic reportedly looking to buy out MAD Lions mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brázda for the upcoming season. If Fnatic makes the buyout happen, Humanoid will be joining the legendary organization after two years with MAD Lions and two LEC trophies won in 2021. Humanoid has been considered one of the most improved mid laners in Europe over the past few years and could continue that trend on Fnatic in 2022.

This rumor was reported by Esportmaniacos and the Twitter account LEC Wooloo, who have both been very accurate in offseason rumors previously. Humanoid will be replacing Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer on Fnatic, who has been playing with the team the whole season but didn’t manage to get them to the top. Nisqy is currently reported to rejoin Cloud9 for the upcoming season.

Who will replace Humanoid on MAD Lions?

As to who Humanoid will be replaced by, it’s already reported that MAD Lions is looking at another young talent to develop in the upcoming year. The talent in the scope is BIG mid laner Steven “RKR” Chen, who has been a big part of the organization’s success in the German Prime League.

RKR and BIG managed to win both Prime League splits this season and also performed well at the two European Masters events this year. RKR is a young player with a lot of potential, who could fit right into the MAD Lions values of developing young talent just like it has done with Humanoid and other players in the past.

If all stars align, it’s expected that all these moves will start to be official from November 15 when the official free agency period kicks off. Until then, all this remains as rumors and could still potentially change.
