Fnatic entered the 2021 LEC Summer Split with a lot of question marks surrounding the team’s players, but it’s currently at the top of the leaderboard and has by far the most kills out of any team in the top European league.

After the first 13 games of the split, Fnatic as a team has managed a whopping 247 kills. This is 19 kills on an average per game, which really speaks to the high pace and great success Fnatic has had so far this split. With many kills in the Fnatic pocket, the team has gotten plenty of wins along the way. After concluding the sixth week of the split, Fnatic is currently tied for first place with Rogue at a 10-3 record and is locked in for the playoffs.

Fnatic is succeeding with Bwipo in the jungle

The current results from Fnatic are likely a surprise to many, following the big roster changes that the team made during the mid-season break. After a disappointing fifth-place finish in the spring split, Fnatic decided to let go of jungler Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek and had Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau swap to the jungle after years as a top laner.

This made room for the young Adam “Adam” Maanane in the top lane, who is currently on his way to having a terrific split as a rookie. The same success goes for Bwipo in the jungle, who has so far been great at adapting to the new role while remaining a big voice and a primary carry on the team. In fact, Bwipo has enabled his team in many of its wins and seems to be working out perfectly as the shot caller from the jungle position.

Putting Bwipo in a flexible role like the jungle looks to be what Fnatic needed after having lacked a true leader in spring. From an individual standpoint, it also seems like the role suits the Belgian superstar very well. In fact, Bwipo is currently leading all LEC junglers in kills with 49 total. Bwipo also has the highest CS per minute at 6.5 and the highest damage output per minute at 425.

In the coming weeks, it will be interesting for any LEC fan to follow Fnatic’s journey. Right now, it’s looking very promising for the team to make a deep run in playoffs and potentially qualify for the 2021 World Championship. With that said, this particular roster composition is still new and will require Fnatic’s full focus in the last weeks of the regular split.

Fnatic is looking to claim first place in the LEC on Friday, July 23, as it faces off against Rogue.

Who is playing for Fnatic in the 2021 LEC Summer Split?

After years at the top of the LEC, Fnatic has revamped its roster for the 2021 LEC Summer Split to try and reclaim the throne. For fans, this new iteration of the team’s roster is unorthodox but so far is showing great promise.

The 2021 Fnatic LEC roster is:
