Esports organization FlyQuest has now launched the new Gamers in Action initiative.

FlyQuest is attempting to showcase greatness through its new Gamers in Action initiative. The project is looking to support causes that are important to the team’s players and staff members, in addition to other initiatives of significance.

Under the Gamers in Action initiative, FlyQuest has launched a campaign to raise awareness about the international World Refugee Day. The organization received donations towards the cause at an LCS tailgate event and will continue to accept donations through June 20.

All proceeds will go to the International Rescue Committee, a non-profit organization that assists refugees around the world.

This time, the cause was chosen by FlyQuest top laner Omran “V1PER” Shoura.

FlyQuest marketing manger told WIN.gg that the cause was close to V1PER’s heart. While not a refugee himself, V1PER’s family left Syria shortly before the breakout of a civil war that continues to disrupt the lives of families across the region.

“When we asked V1PER, what cause he wanted to support, he told us that he wanted to help refugees and people who have had to leave their homes due to conflict,” Forton said.

This is not the first campaign held through Gamers in Action. In May, the team launched Women’s Flightwear, a clothing line for women designed by women and for women. At the time, FlyQuest shared that 50% of the profits would go to support Women for Women International.

Gamers in Action will continue to work through the remainder of the year. The next project is set to offer aid to animals in need.

“Later this summer, we will be working with an animal adoption clinic on a cool project,” Forton said.

The Women’s Flightwear line is still available on FlyQuest’s store. You can show your support to FlyQuest and donate to the IRC here.
