One of the oldest organizations in esports, Evil Geniuses, has announced a new Valorant roster that will compete in the first Challengers tournament. The announcement was teased earlier in the day in a cryptic tweet that implied big news was coming soon.

The team will make its debut at the event and is the first time that many of its members will be playing together.
The team is a mixed-gender roster featuring former Counter Strike: Global Offensive players and analyst. The newly minted squad consists of Counter-Strike 1.6 and Global Offensive pro and caster Christine “Potter” Chi, Ronan “Osias” Javelona, Claudia “clawdia” Che and former Moon Racoons players Aleksandar “ALEKSANDAR” Hinojosa and Nolan “Temperature” Pepper.
You know we couldn’t sit this one out.

Both Potter and clawdia played on the amatuer team GX3 together in a few Valorant tournaments before joining the EG organization. Osias has also been a part of the North American amateur scene, playing on a few teams before joining Mamba Gaming for a short time prior to that organization shutting down.
Of the players joining, clawdia may be the one that fans are least familiar with. She has four accounts at the highest rank on the Valorant ladder, Radiant, and streams the game along with other FPS titles.
According to Evil Geniuses, the squad was built by Potter, who is the captain of the team, with all of the other players being eyed as up-and-coming talents that the team can build around to be competitive in the developing scene.
“Evil Geniuses approached me with the opportunity to create something special and help define the emerging VALORANT scene,” Potter said. “We’ve put together an amazing squad of veterans and young guns, and I think we’re going to surprise a lot of people.”
The team was registered under the pseudonym Diabolical Masterminds but will compete for the rest of the event under its proper organizational title.
