Everything we know about One Piece Odyssey
One Piece is celebrating 25 years of adventures with the release of One Piece Odyssey, an epic JPRG coming out in January 2023.
After getting caught in a storm at sea, Captain Monkey.D.Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew find themselves on the mysterious Waford Island. They get separated along the way and is Luffy’s job to find the rest of his crew. Waford is full of powerful enemies, marvels of nature, and strange island locals.
One Piece’s author, Eiichiro Oda is directly involved in the project. Oda contributed to the plot and the creation of new characters. The soundtrack comes from the mind of Motoi Sakuraba, the composer of the Dark Souls soundtrack.
What type of game Is One Piece Odyssey?
One Piece Odyssey is a JRPG with turn-based combat. Players will get the opportunity to play as Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook. Each character has a unique combat style and exploration skills. The game also includes the “Dramatic Scene system”, a feature that will put players in different scenarios. Players must strategize and find the best way to defeat these scenarios.
Is One Piece Odyssey out?
One Piece Odyssey will be released on January 13, 2023. Players can pre-order it now. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. There are three editions available, Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition.
The Deluxe Edition includes Deluxe Packs with accessories and the Adventure Expansion Pack, which is described as a “future additional story”. The Collector’s Edition includes everything in the Deluxe edition, plus a Monkey.D.Luffy & Lim figurine, an exclusive steel book, postcards, and the Collector’s box.
At the time of this article, the Collector’s Edition is sold out. The price is listed as $165. The Deluxe Edition goes for $88 and $62 for the Standard.
