Everything about Tulsa King Season 2
Paramount confirmed that Tulsa King will have a season 2, and here is everything we know about it.
Tulsa King is a series created by Taylor Sheridan, the co-creator of Yellowstone, 1883, and 1923. Tulsa King follows the story of Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York Mafia capo who is freed after completing a 25-year sentence. Manfredi is then sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he is tasked with establishing a criminal operation.
The cast includes legendary actor Sylvester Stallone as the title character as well as Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Garrett Hedlund, and more. Season one of Tulsa King premiered in November of 2022, with the final episode coming out in January of this year.
Tulsa King Season 2 release date
Tulsa King was officially renewed once the first three episodes were aired. Tulsa King became an instant success on Paramount+, following the steps of 1923.
The exact release date for the second season of the show is uncertain. Like many other shows by Paramount+, 1923 included, Tulsa King has been affected by the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.
“They work on, like, for our show, eight episodes, and then you’re done, and that’s it. Like, ‘What do I live on for the rest of the year?’ sort of a thing. So, I understand their plight,” said Stallone, showing his support for the writers currently on strike.
Viewers are hoping to get season 2 next fall, but it might take longer than that. According to people familiar with the WGA strike, the WGA is not close to reaching an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers or AMPTP, which represents the studios.
The AMPTP is currently in negotiations with the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists or SAG-AFTRA. If by June 30, the parts haven’t reached an agreement, SAG-AFTRA has the option to call a strike. This could affect production even further.
