In Genshin Impact, height and age can actually make a difference.
Any gacha game is all about its characters, but the specifics of their height and age are especially important in Genshin Impact. These characters interact with an open fantasy world filled with challenges to overcome, not just pictures in a gallery. Height can even affect how they traverse the open world. Read on to learn the height and age of every Genshin Impact character as well as how they can affect gameplay.
This list takes each character’s in-game height and age as of version 2.5 into account. The only height exception is Aloy, who is canonically 5’6″ in the Horizon series. While most Genshin Impact characters have official heights, age is difficult to determine for many of them. Some are functionally immortal, while others have only estimated ages. Immortals are written as such while age estimates have an asterisk placed after them.
The height and age of every Genshin Impact character

Many Genshin Impact ages are completely up to fan and player speculation. This is especially true for the youngest and oldest characters in the game. Arataki Itto is the biggest mystery, as his oni biology seems to affect his aging. Older women like Jean, Beidou, and Ninguang are also anyone’s guess. The littlest characters including Qiqi, Klee, Sayu, and Diona are similarly debatable, as are Gorou and Kokomi. Many of the estimated ages here are assisted by work done by theorycrafters on social media.
Can height and age affect gameplay in Genshin Impact?
Height and age can actually have a minor effect on gameplay in Genshin Impact.
Taller characters run, climb, and swim slightly faster than smaller characters. There are obvious exceptions to this like Sayu and Ayaka, but tall characters like Kaeya and Itto can be better suited to exploring the open world. They also have greater jump heights, which can be useful for avoiding certain terrain hurdles. The next time Windtrace rolls around, be sure to pick the tallest character you have to run away from the hunter.
Age has no real bearing on gameplay in Genshin Impact, but players can get fun little rewards for owning a character on their birthday. The character will send a sweet letter containing a few goodies, usually including their regional specialty or signature dish. Powerful characters like the archons can even send useful goodies such as talent books or Crystal Cores.
