It’s been three years since the last Mario Party game and Nintendo is looking to bring its largest celebration yet to the Nintendo Switch later this year. Here is what to expect.
Releasing in October, Super Mario Party Jamboree has over 100 mini-games, around 10 boards, and over 20 playable characters. There’s a ton of content in store for fans of the friendship-ending party game.

All characters in Super Mario Party Jamboree
One disappointing aspect of the previous Mario Party game was the lack of playable characters. A lot of iconic characters like Toad were cast to the side as guides, making them unplayable. But that’s all changing this time around.
Here are all confirmed characters in Super Mario Party Jamboree:
Mario
Luigi
Princess Peach
Princess Daisy
Rosalina
Yoshi
Birdo
Toad
Toadette
Wario
Waluigi
Donkey Kong
Bowser
Bowser Jr.
Goomba
Koopa Troopa
Shy Guy
Boo
Spike
Monty Mole
Ninji
This is the first time Ninji will appear as a playable character in a Mario Party game. Bro is adorable so this will definitely be an exciting addition to the roster.
It’s currently unknown if each character will have their own special dice, abilities, or items. That’s been present in some previous Mario Party titles while others have opted to keep all characters evenly matched.
All boards in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Fans are most excited about the amount of boards in Super Mario Party Jamboree. In the past, the lack of boards has been one of the biggest complaints. This has created stale gameplay and just an overall desire for more options.
Super Mario Party Jamboree, however, may have up to 10 boards. This will include remastered and upgraded versions of classics as well as brand new ones to explore. Here are the confirmed boards so far:
Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party
King Bowser’s Keep
Roll ‘Em Raceway
Goomba Lagoon
Rainbow Galleria
Mario’s Rainbow Castle (Mario Party 1)
Western Land (Mario Party 2)
