eUnited signs three new players, overhaul CS:GO roster

eUnited is hoping to transform its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team into a powerhouse after some major roster changes.

The North American squad is welcoming three former Swole Patrol players: Anthony “vanity” Malaspina, Victor “food” Wong, and Edgar “MarkE” Jimenez. All three players bring years of experience to what has been an inconsistent eUnited’s team. Vanity will take on the role of in-game leader.

“Vanity will bring a new perspective to calling for the team and I am very excited about the potential and the future,” said eUnited player Austin “Cooper” Abadir.

Cooper noted that eUnited has been “pretty unsteady” since he joined, but the three new players have made him finally feel fully confident in the team’s potential.

The roster change also includes letting go of Mike “dapr” Gulino and Will “dazzLe” Loafman, who won’t have their expiring contracts renewed. Even though the duo has been credited with qualifying eUnited for the Esports Championship Series in April, general manager Daniel Clerke felt the team desperately needed a “culture shift” to succeed.

“I am deeply saddened to have to move on from Will and Mike,” Clerke said. “This past year with them has been incredible and I wish them both the best in their futures, not only as players, but as people who I have become friends with.”

Clerke stated that the team is looking to improve on what success they did find in 2018, and he’s optimistic the new squad is what they need for a “complete reset for 2019.”

The CS:GO community has been buzzing with eUnited’s major roster change. But nobody has been as emotional over the move as the new players’ former Swole Patrol teammate Sam “S0m” Oh.

eUnited’s new team will soon begin a rigorous practice schedule in preparation for the upcoming ESL Pro League.
