Epic Games and Nerf partner for new series of Fortnite blasters

Nerf is releasing a new series of Fortnite-themed foam blasters in 2019.

The new line comes as a result of a partnership between Fortnite developer Epic Games and Nerf toy creator Hasbro.

Fortnite players will be able to take the action from the screen to the real world with the new Nerf blasters inspired by the popular game. Nerf has yet to reveal the exact number of models available, but the company did share an image of the Nerf Fortnite AR-L blaster.

Similar in appearance to the in-game version, the AR-L blaster features a 10-dart clip and includes 20 elite darts. It requires four batteries and will be available at retailers in June 2019 for a suggested price of $49.99.

Regarding the new blasters line, a Hasbro representative said that “[the blasters] will immerse fans into the player-versus-player action of the game, letting them play out the Battle Royale in real-world settings with blasters and accessories that emulate the onscreen battles Fortnite is known for.”

The Nerf blasters represent the second collaboration between Epic Games and Hasbro. The toy company released a Fortnite version of the popular board game Monopoly in October. It features images and locations from Fortnite, along with special cards inspired by the battle royale.

Epic Games is closing the year with a bang, with more toys to be made available in December. The developer revealed the first images of new figurines made by Jazwares LLC. The figurines will be announced officially in December.
