Elden Ring just got a few significant polishes with the release of patch 1.13. This update focuses on balancing the PvP and PvE aspects of the game, buffing a variety of weapons, skills, spells, and Ashes of War, and making some long-awaited changes and bug fixes.
The biggest changes in patch 1.13 target PvP balance. From now on, players can expect a more aggressive experience with increased poise damage on various weapon types, making it easier to break through enemy defenses.
Additionally, specific skills like Savage Lion’s Claw and Raging Beast have been adjusted to offer more attack power and reduced invulnerability windows, encouraging a faster-paced and more tactical approach to combat.
Patch 1.13 brings a wave of adjustments to various weapons and skills. Several armaments, including the Repeating Crossbow, Spread Crossbow, and Rabbath’s Cannon, now see improved attack power scaling as they’re upgraded.
Additionally, beloved skills like Overhead Stance, Aspects of the Crucible: Wings, and Lightspeed Slash received buffs to their attack power, control, or damage application.
Finally, patch 1.13 tackles a long list of bugs that have been plaguing players. This includes fixing the incorrect damage output of the Dark Moon Greatsword, inconsistencies with the Swift Spear weapon, and unintended behavior with specific skills and spells. Additionally, the update addresses various multiplayer issues and visual glitches, offering a smoother overall experience.
Players who rely on Spirit Ashes for assistance will be happy to know that most Ashes have received a significant buff. Excluding the Mimic Tear, most Spirit Ashes now boast increased attack power and damage negation and are even tougher to stagger, thanks to the update. This change should make them more reliable companions in challenging encounters.
With more aggressive PvP, empowered Spirit Ashes, and a variety of weapon and skill adjustments, players can expect a fresh and exciting experience in the Lands Between.
