Doublelift says TSM founder Regi made his players cry
Retired professional AD Carry Peng “Doublelift” Yilang has had the League of Legends community’s full attention since airing some serious
grievances
with the conduct of TSM founder Andy “Reginald” Dinh, and that isn’t slowing down.
Doublelift went on stream to discuss his negative personal experiences with Reginald throughout his time on TSM with a specific focus on the 2020 offseason. In a second stream yesterday, Doublelift expanded the allegations of bullying and unprofessional interference, as well as painting a dire picture of team morale whenever Reginald involved himself.
Doublelift says that the TSM founder regularly involved himself in the LCS roster during playoffs, and describes him as “making the team depressed.” He described Reginald as a bully who gets away with poor behavior because of his status as the organization’s founder and listed Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen, Alfonso “Mithy” Rodriguez, Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen as other players who had been targets of Reginald’s abuse. Doublelift says that a recent exodus of talent from the organization, from players to support staff to behind-the-scenes talent, stems from this.
Why are Doublelift and Reginald fighting?
Doublelift is claiming he was pressured into retirement against his will by Reginald and is critical of his overbearing micromanagement over TSM’s operations.
Doublelift clarified throughout his stream that his grievances don’t lie primarily with the circumstances of his retirement in 2020. Instead, he focuses on Reginald’s behavior, who he regularly refers to as an “egomaniac.” He says that Reginald “doesn’t treat people with respect” and that he “makes people feel worthless.”
The current full-time streamer says that there’s a variety of players who felt disrespected and abused by the TSM founder interfering inside of the team’s operations. At the end of the stream, Doublelift reiterates that his complaints with Reginald’s conduct extend so far beyond the 2020 offseason that he regrets beginning his public statements by involving his retirement at all.
While Reginald did
make a public statement
about Doublelift’s original comments, there has yet to be any official response from Dinh or TSM on Doublelift’s expanded statements.
