Dizzy dominates Code Red Apex Legends with Ninja and KingRichard
The next big esports event in Apex Legends was dominated the game’s hottest player.
Casters for the Code Red Apex Legends tournament couldn’t stop heaping praise on NRG’s Coby “Dizzy” Meadows, who went on to win the event with as part of a squad with Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Richard “KingRichard” Nelson.
Their praise might have seemed hyperbolic were it not for the wild plays Dizzy was making to justify it.

The team of Guy “Dr. Disrespect” Beahm, Colton “Viss” Visser, and Jesse “Kraftyy” Kraft came in second, with Jake “Chocotaco” Throop, Sean “vsnz” Garcia, and Jordan “husKers” Thomas in third.
The format of the tournament was simple: each team gets three games to get as many kills and wins as they can. Wins were good for eight points, kills for one. The team with the highest number of points wins, with all games streamed for verification and entertainment purposes.
In the first two games of the grand finals, Dizzy dropped 22 and 17 kills for his team, in addition to helping secure wins in both games. The prodigy led his team to a 93-56 victory.
Dizzy is also the first person in Apex Legends to hit 1 million total damage on an account.
While there are currently no custom lobbies in the game, preventing true head-to-head competition, the Code Red tournament showed what Apex Legends could potentially look like when played at the highest level.
It’s simple enough that any misstep by a player can prove lethal, but there’s a high ceiling for skilled players and coordinated teams to flex on the opposition. Character movement is smooth and the gunplay is snappy and satisfying. All that’s left is to put the best players in the same lobby and see who comes out on top.
