Data miners uncover possible John Wick challenges coming in Season 9
Data miners uncover possible John Wick challenges coming in Season 9
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is coming out next week. Naturally, that means there was a John Wick-themed Fortnite leak.
Epic Games
just released Season 9 in Fortnite, and data miners are already hard at work. Notorious leakers FortTory and Lucas7Yoshi took to Twitter to inform Fortnite players of a possible upcoming John Wick-themed challenge and cosmetic set.
Called “Wick’s Bounty,” FortTory shared the names of all the John Wick styled tasks. Not officially confirmed by Epic, the tasks include “deal damage with the combat shotgun,” “collect Gold Coins in a single match,” and “win a match of Wick’s Bounty.”
There is also a challenge that reads, “deal damage with the tactical assault rifle.”
This confused some players, since there is currently no tactical assault rifle in the game. But a Twitter user pointed out that Vendetta can be seen holding the gun in some Season 9 artwork. He noted that it’s “common knowledge” that this weapon is coming to the game.
The leakers also speculated that a brand new limited time mode will also be coming to Fortnite. This mode will feature John Wick himself.
Lucas7Yoshi uncovered a new John Wick cosmetic set as well. It appears to have the codename “assassin suit.”
Fortnite fans seem to be in agreement with the dataminers on the possibility of a John Wick event. Some players have spotted a house on the map, added in Season 9, that looks similar to John Wick’s home.
This wouldn’t be a big stretch to believe.
Epic first added John Wick to the game in Season 3. The set, called “Hired Gun,” was a Battle Pass exclusive over a year ago.
