On July 26, tune in to Twitch.tv/RealCYNGaming and Twitch.tv/WINNERSLeague at 4 PM PST / 7 PM EST to see rising star rapper Niko Brim compete against DJ Champ for the chance to donate $2,000 to the local charity of their choice.

Niko Brim is hoping to bring that cash to Part of the Solution (POTS), an organization that provides food, shelter, laundry, haircuts, and education to underserved communities in New York City. Niko calls it a “one-stop-shop” for people that aren’t on their feet, regardless of ethnicity or background.

“I feel that we all need to start in our own personal communities. POTS for me is a no-brainer in terms of getting them involved. They represent me and all the community,” Niko said. “Yes, I’m a rapper. But that doesn’t mean I don’t hold that obligation to uphold my community. Whether it’s through video games or rapping, there’s always space to give back. I want people to see this and be inspired to do the same thing.”

Indianapolis hip-hop producer, Dj Champ aka Hampton Sallee has toured with rappers Gucci Mane and Lil Baby, and collaborated with Offset from Migos. His first executive produced project “ HoodChamp” with Hoodrich Pablo Juan was recently released.

“I’m always excited about anything involving giving back to the community. I hope Niko comes with his A-game. Team champ about to go in!” DJ Champ said.

Niko Brim recently released the powerful new single “Hard to Believe,” and in June led the first-ever protest in New York to carry through three different municipalities. He also partnered with legendary social impact leader, Ms. Opal Lee to gather 1 million signatures in support of making Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday.

This upcoming Twitch tournament is an extension of Brim’s social impact work, dedicated to reaching communities hard-hit by the global pandemic.

“I love gaming,” Niko said. “Honest to God this is true: I was playing video games before I could read or write. Gaming is part of my recreation, day-to-day. I wanted to utilize this platform, just like you would Instagram.”

Niko also believes in continuing to push forward the crossover between hip-hop and gaming, two spaces that he says are “more similar than people realize.”

WINNERS League is proud to be a partner for this exciting streaming event. Usually a platform for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams looking to climb the professional ranks and take part in serious competition, the charity tournament represents WINNERS League’s interest in furthering the mission to grow the CSGO semi-pro and amateur scenes while providing an overall benefit to the game’s community.

We’ve partnered with V Records to boost the experience even further as we feature some of their immense musical talents and give a platform to those artists who are working on behalf of charities,” WINNERS League project lead Nick Gorbunov said.
