CSGO players accuse Valorant of copying Deagle animation

CSGO players are accusing Riot of copying the infamous Deagle inspect animation for the latest Neo Frontier sheriff.

Valorant skins are as popular as its major competitor Counter-Strike: Global Offensive skin store. While Valorant cosmetics may not be lucrative, they are a visual treat thanks to vibrant colors and immersive VFX. However, Riot has never shied away from taking a page from CSGO’s book.

CSGO players think the Valorant developer may have copied the stylish Deagle animation for its new Neo Frontier collection.

Did Valorant copy CSGO Deagle animation?

CSGO Deagle

On June 26, Riot lifted the curtain on the futuristic bundle featuring an axe. When maxed out, the sheriff earns a special inspection element in which the agent swings the weapon repeatedly. It’s visually pleasant for Valorant players, but CSGO fans are enraged at yet “another copy.”

According to the fans, the animation is exactly the same as CSGO Deagle, just with speed boosted.

The players aren’t entirely wrong, though. Neo Frontier spins clockwise, counter-clockwise, and then sideways, similar to the Deagle in CSGO. However, many pistols in different games have this exact motion, so it’s tough to stay if Riot really copied CSGO.

In any case, the new bundle has once again nudged the dormant CSGO player base, who’s always on the lookout for a new thing Valorant replicates.

When is the CS2 release date?

Counter-Strike 2 is slated for the summer of 2023. Leakers say it should have arrived by now, so players may want to watch out for CS2 anytime in July or August.

Valve didn’t specify a date for the CS2 release, so it’s tough to say when exactly it would release. But the release window should be from July through September. Eager players should still keep their fingers crossed to get into the beta, which is still ongoing.
