The Community Day Classic is back in April in Pokémon Go, this time featuring Swinub.
A Community Day is an opportunity for Pokemon Go players to come together as a community and catch as many Pokemon as possible. In 2022, Pokémon Go hosted four Community Day Classic, featuring some fan favorites like Bulbasaur.
In 2023, the Community Day Classic is returning, highlighting a Pokémon that already had a Community Day in previous years, Swinub. The event will run on April 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time. For three hours, Swinub will appear more frequently with a chance of it being shiny.
Swinub is a dual Ice and Ground type from Johto. It evolves into Piloswine, which then evolves into Mamoswine. While this is a fairly common Pokémon that appears frequently, this is still an event that you cannot miss.
While Swinub is the featured Pokémon, the true highlight is Mamoswine. This is a really strong Pokémon that can be used in plenty of Raid Battles as a strong counter. It is a resilient Pokémon that also deals good damage. The April Community Day Classic is the perfect opportunity to get as much candy as possible to power up your Mamoswine.
In true Community Day fashion, the event will also have special bonuses for all players. This includes three times Stardust for catching Pokémon, Incense, and Lure Modules will last three hours.
The Stardust bonus is the most important and the one that you should take advantage of. Stardust can be used to evolve Pokémon, power them up, and complete transfers. Any Stardust multiplier is one that you cannot miss.
This bonus applies to any Pokémon caught during the event, not only Swinub.
A Special Research Story will be available during the event. Players will need to purchase a ticket through the in-game store to get access to it.
The event will run on April 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time.
