Cloud9 manage methodical victory over Rush and Echo Fox

Cloud9 started week four on a high note in defeating Echo Fox. The World Championship semifinalist showed a methodical game against an Echo Fox roster that has at times struggled..
The star of the match was young support Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam on Alistar. Zeyzal had a strong presence in the map with roams that helped the rest of the squad secure kills and neutral objectives.
Cloud9’s Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen took every chance he got to collapse on the opposition, but Echo Fox’s disengagement was difficult to break. Still, Cloud9 refused take unnecessary risks, going fully in only when their advantage was clear.
Hesitation and miscommunication seemed to put Echo Fox at a disadvantage in the match even as gold remained tight.
Echo Fox Jungler Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae was aggressive but more often than not, there wasn’t any follow-up from his teammates.
Echo Fox proved to be its own worst enemy as Rush and top laner Colin “Solo” Earnest grew increasingly desperate and initiated plays when the rest of the team was too far out of position to follow.
Cloud9 waited patiently for these mistakes and the squad’s patience paid off. Every time Echo Fox went for an objective or took an ill-timed fight, Cloud9 was able to contest or outright win the ensuing engagement.
At 33 minutes, Cloud9 secured a baron buff and broke into the Echo Fox base. The siege was too much for Echo Fox to handle. Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi’s Sivir erased the enemies from the map and one quadra kill later, Cloud9 destroyed the nexus.
