Chaos releases Swedish CSGO roster, reportedly adds Rush, Steel
Chaos releases Swedish CSGO roster, reportedly adds Rush, Steel
Chaos Esports Club is looking for a fresh start in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
The organization has announced the release of its Swedish roster and indicated it is planning to start over in North America.
“Starting today we will be parting ways with the current Chaos Counter-Strike roster. The teams contracts have expired and we’re opting not to renew as we look to reposition within the scene,” the organization said in a statement. “Due to lack of organizational support in Sweden, we sometimes struggled to provide the Japaleno squad with a 110% level of support, which we aspire to do with any player competing under the Chaos banner.”
Chaos first entered the CSGO scene in 2018 by signing a Swedish squad led by former Ninjas in Pyjamas player Mikail “Maikelele” Bill. The roster changed several times in the months that followed and the team itself settled into the middle tiers of a crowded European field.
Fredrik “FREDDyFROG” Gustafsson, Daniel “djL ” Narancic, and Joakim “Relaxa” Gustafsson are remaining together and will compete as Jalapeno once again. It is unclear if Niclas “PlesseN” Plessen and Linus “Bååten” Bååt Andersson will be joining them or if they are now free agents.
As for Chaos, Rush B Media states that a new team is already in the works.
RUSH and steel joining new Chaos team?
According to their report, Chaos is rebuilding in North America with a squad led by Joshua “steel” Nissan. Steel most recently competed with Ghost Gaming, competing under their banner for a year before the organization dissolved its CSGO team.
The biggest name on the team is Will “RUSH” Wierzba, who previously competed for OpTic Gaming as well as Cloud9. He was deactivated by Cloud9 in July after competing with the team for two years. Also on the team are former Lazarus Esports player Gage “Infinite” Green and Team Singularity’s Cameron “hydrex” Kern.
Rush B Media notes that the organization is currently in talks with former Heroic player Niels Christian “NaToSaphiX” Sillassen to serve as the fifth player.
Neither Chaos Esports Club nor the players reportedly signed with the organization have issued a public statement on the matter confirming or denything these reports.
