AGF Esport has revealed a very strong lineup of Danish players for its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad. After trialing René “cajunb” Borg, the Danish star has officially been instated as AGF’s new captain. The reformed squad will also include Magnus “Nodios” Olsen of Copenhagen Flames and Kristoffer “kristou” Aamand from North.

Most notably, cajunB has officially returned from his 2021 break to headline AGF Esport’s new roster. The Danish rifler first rose to prominence on Dignitas before joining Team SoloMid. The esteemed player has previously played for Astralis, Dignitas, North, OpTiC Gaming, and Cloud9. cajunb will be taking the role of in-game leader on AGF, a first for him despite being such a veteran.

Joining him as the new AGF additions are kristou and Nodios. A whopping 64% of kristou’s kills come from his AWPing prowess. Nodios is exceptional in the clutch, going 137-95 in one-on-ones across his career. Both players will look to continue their solid performance under cajunb’s direction.

AGF Esport CSGO roster

  • Magnus “Nodios” Olsen
  • René “cajunb” Borg
  • Kristoffer “kristou” Aamand
  • Casper “Cabbi” Jensen
  • Magnus “Frøslev” Frøslev

AGF Esports first entered CSGO with a roster centered around Thomas “TMB” Bundsbæk. The squad was a constant fixture of the European development circuit but hasn’t qualified for many big CSGO tournaments since forming in 2018. The squad’s biggest win of 2021 is currently a $3,750 second-place finish at Elisa Nordic Championship Denmark. HLTV currently ranks AGF at #106 on the global CSGO team rankings.

It’s difficult to say if the recent roster changes can elevate AGF Esport to the top level of CSGO. Most of the squad is still at a development stage in their career, but the direction of cajunb could point them in the right direction. The squad does not have a clear next event, but its newfound star power could earn AGF Esports a ticket to the Elisa Invitational starting August 16.
