BlizzCon 2023 finally gets official date after four year hiatus
BlizzCon is officially returning this year and it has a date.
BlizzCon has become one of the biggest gaming conventions in the United States, a place where community events, cosplay, video game announcements, and tournaments come together at the Anaheim Convention Center. But in-person BlizzCon was canceled the past four years.
But it’s finally returning to its original in-person format.
When is BlizzCon 2023?
BlizzCon is returning to Anaheim on November 3-4, 2023.
“Our players are at the heart of what makes BlizzCon great – a place where games are the common ground for connection and friendship,” Blizzard wrote. “Whether you’re coming to hang out with friends you only ever get to see online, celebrating epic moments in the games we love, exploring what’s on offer in the convention center halls, or eager to learn what’s next for our universes, BlizzCon is being created for you. It’s the community that has always made this event so special, and we can’t wait to see you all again.”
Not much else is known about BlizzCon right now. It’s unclear what the tournaments, panels, and announcements will be.
Blizzard has been hinting at BlizzCon’s return for a year now after it was suddenly canceled last year. In the past, it was due to health concerns, but 2022 was canceled as the company dealt with lawsuits and bad press for gender discrimination. The online version of BlizzCon just wasn’t the same, leaving Blizzard fans frustrated and missing the community-focused gaming event.
