24 teams made it to the
2023 BLAST.tv Paris Major
but only eight still have a chance to snatch the title. The Legends Stage was full of exciting matches, and the final standings weren’t determined until the very last series on May 16.
Starting on May 18,
the final eight
will compete in a single elimination bracket to determine the champion. In the Champion Stage, teams only get one chance to advance, so the stakes are higher than ever.
2023 Paris Major Champion Stage schedule
The Champion Stage at the 2023 Paris Major is a single elimination bracket with all matches to the best of three. The seeding was determined based on the Legend Stage ranking.
May 18 – Heroic vs. FaZe Clan
Heroic and FaZe Clan meet again, this time in the Champion Stage. Heroic finished the Legends Stage undefeated, one of its victories was against FaZe Clan, who had a rough start to the tournament. FaZe secured a key victory over NAVI to get the final spot at the Champion Stage.
May 18 – Into the Breach vs. Team Vitality
Team Vitality is the second team to finish the Legend Stage undefeated and is looking like a solid contender for the title. Into the Breach stumbled against Apeks and Team Liquid but now has a boost of confidence after defeating Fnatic.
May 19 – GamerLegion vs. Monte
Perhaps the closest match in the Champion Stage. GamerLegion and Monte finished the Legends Stage with a score of 3-1 and faced some of the same opponents. It will be a close series for sure.
May 19 – Team Liquid vs. Apeks
Team Liquid and Apeks avoided each other in the Legends Stage, where both teams had a similar run. They both had victories over Into the Breach and stumbled against Heroic. An unfortunate loss against GamerLegion forced Apeks into a fifth match, where it dominated Ninjas in Pyjamas. The difference in their standings is just proof that one match at the 2023 Paris Major can make or break a team.
May 20 – Semifinals
The winner of Heroic vs. FaZe Clan will face the winner of GamerLegion vs. Monte.
On the other side of the bracket, the winner of Team Liquid vs. Apeks faces the winner of Into the Breach vs. Team Vitality.
May 21 – Finals
The two finalists play the final best-of-three to determine the winner at the 2023 Paris Major.
