An old face is returning to the LCS for 2022 as Vincent “Biofrost” Wang has officially joined Dignitas as the team’s new support.

After one year away from the competitive scene, Biofrost will be returning to the LCS but under a new banner. It will be with Dignitas that Biofrost makes his comeback after playing for TSM up until his break after the 2020 World Championship one year ago.

Biofrost will be replacing veteran support Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black on Dignitas, who recently left the organization. This has left big shoes to fill for Biofrost, since aphromoo has acted as the team’s leader and shot caller throughout the 2021 season where Dignitas reached playoffs in both splits.

Who is on Dignitas in LCS?

Besides Biofrost, it’s already official that Dignitas will consist of top laner Aaron “FakeGod” Lee and bot laner Toàn “Neo” Trần. The rest of the squad is yet to be revealed, but rumors state that Dignitas is in the process of signing SK Gaming mid laner Ersin “Blue” Gören and PSG Talon jungler Kim “River” Dong-woo to complete the roster.

The return for Biofrost will serve as a test for the experienced support player to see if he still has what it takes to play on the big stage. Biofrost went on his break after a disappointing showing at Worlds 2020 where TSM went 0-6 in the group stage, with losses to Gen.G, Fnatic, and LGD Gaming.

The failure at Worlds happened shortly after TSM won the 2020 LCS Summer Split, where Biofrost was put back onto the main roster to play a big part in TSM’s miracle run through the playoffs lower bracket. Prior to that, Biofrost had been subbed out in favor of Eric “Treatz” Wesseén but was chosen to play when it mattered.

Biofrost will debut for Dignitas when the LCS Lock-In kicks off on January 14 next year.
