Baldur's Gate 3 wins Game of the Year
Baldur’s Gate 3 has won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2023.
The biggest announcement of The Game Awards 2023 was Game of the Year, the final category of the night. The award ultimately went to Baldur’s Gate 3, which was up against a lot of other heavy hitters from the past year.

The Game Awards ended with the Game of the Year award to Baldur’s Gate 3. Developers took to the stage to accept the reward, one in full armor, after the game took a bunch of other awards throughout the night.
“Truly an incredible night,” Larian Studios tweeted.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is super popular, with a peak player count of over 815K and an average of well over 100,000 to 150,000 players a month. It also has a perfect score on many review sites.
It’s no surprise that Baldur’s Gate 3 has been rewarded this top honor for its dynamic narrative, emotional moments, tough battles, and layered characters.
