Baki Hanma is an anime based on the manga of the same name. The original manga was written and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki. The story follows Baki Hanma, a teenager who fights a series of deadly opponents.
In 2021, Netflix released the first season, which consisted of 12 episodes. The second season was confirmed in March of 2022. Part one of season two was released in July 2023.
Baki Hanma Season 2 Part 1 was released on July 26, 2023. Titled the “Pickle Wars Saga,” this part featured 13 episodes.
Part two is titled “The Father Vs. Son Saga.” At the moment, it is unclear how many episodes will be included.
Baki Hanma is based on the Japanese manga series Baki the Grappler. The first volume was published in October 1991. So far, the manga has 147 published volumes.
Baki Hanma, also known as Baki: Son of Ogre, is the third part of the main series. It ran from December 2005 through August 2012 with a total of 37 volumes.
An adaptation of Grappler Baki, the first part of the manga, aired in 2001 in Japan. This adaptation had a total of 48 episodes. A 15-minute special anime was released in 2016 as a prelude to Baki, the series that debuted on Netflix in 2018.
A couple of games have been developed based on Baki. The first one is a fighting game for PlayStation 2. Early this year, fans were convinced that Baki would be featured in the upcoming Tekken 8. The rumor started on Reddit, where a user posted a fan-made trailer for Baki as a Tekken character. It was so well executed that fans believed it was real.
